- The lowest year in the period was 2022, at USD 268.8 milioni.
- Scarves of other textile materials, the subheading that includes cotton, remained the largest group at USD 110.7 million in 2024 (USD 237.2 million in 2019, -53%).
- Wool and fine animal hair stood at USD 70.6 million in 2024 (-21% on 2019); silk at USD 48.9 milioni (-33%).
- India reported exports to 161 partner countries and territories in 2024. The largest single destination was the United Arab Emirates, con 25.2% of the total.

Reading the figures
The United Arab Emirates heads the list in both 2019 E 2024. Comtrade records the destination India reports, and the UAE is a regional trading and re-export hub, so part of this trade is likely to be shipped on to other markets. The figures say where goods were sent, not where they were finally worn.
Knitted and crocheted scarves are classified separately, under HS 6117, and are not included here. A label buying a knitted scarf and a woven or printed one is buying from two different customs headings.
Source and method
All figures are export values in US dollars as reported by India to the UN Comtrade Database (Harmonized System classification, annual data), accessed 7 Ottobre 2026 through its public API. Values are in millions of US dollars, rounded to one decimal place, and are not adjusted for inflation. Partner shares are computed against the world total India reports for the same year. Subheadings are those of the Harmonized System as used by Comtrade.
