Hva vi produserer
Resortwear is a category of loose, light pieces worn over swimwear or at the table afterwards. Buyers usually need several of them to look like one collection. We make the pieces below, and we can build them as a coordinated capsule.
- Kaftaner: korte og lange, with tie necks, split necks or embroidered yokes. See our kaftan range.
- Kimonoer: open-front cover-ups in printed voile or viscose, with optional tassel or lace trims. Details are on our custom kimono manufacturing page.
- Beach and sun dresses: tiered, smocked, tie-strap and shirt-style shapes.
- Co-ord-sett: shirt and short, top and wide-leg trouser, or crop top and skirt, cut from the same print.
- Pareos og saronger: printed rectangles, often finished with tassels. See cotton scarves and pareos.
- Beach bags: vevd, canvas and trimmed totes that match the apparel. Read more on beach bags manufacturing.
For wider beach categories, vår beachwear collection shows how these pieces sit together.
Stoffer
We work mainly in cotton voile, cotton slub, linblandinger, viskose og rayon, and modal crepe. Voile is light and slightly crisp, which suits kaftans and pareos. Slub gives a textured, casual hand. Linen blends add body and crease naturally. Viscose and rayon drape well and take print strongly. Modal crepe is softer and falls more fluidly. Sertifisert stoff kan skaffes fra møller som har egne sertifiseringer, på forespørsel.
Teknikker
Block printing gives hand-stamped repeats with small natural variation. Digital printing suits detailed or multi-colour artwork and placement prints. Tie-dye and dip-dye are done by hand, so each piece differs slightly. Broderi, tassels, pom-pom trims, crochet and lace add detail at necklines, hems and edges.
Building a resortwear capsule that works in bulk
Sheerness and lining
Voile and light rayon can turn see-through once worn over a bright swimsuit or in strong sun. Decide early whether a piece is meant to be sheer. If not, specify a lining, a double layer on the bodice and upper skirt, or a denser weave. Check the fabric against both light and dark underlayers at sampling.
Sun and salt-water fading
Resortwear is exposed to sun, sweat, chlorine and salt water. Dark and saturated shades fade most visibly, and hand-dyed items can bleed in the first wash. Tell us how the piece will be used, and ask for wash and rub-fastness checks on your colours before bulk. Add clear care labels: cold wash, wash separately, and dry in the shade.
Colour consistency across a capsule
If a dress, kaftan and scarf share one print, they should look like the same print. Different fabrics take dye differently, so a print on viscose will not match the same file on cotton voile. Approve each fabric-and-print combination separately, and judge the colours side by side. Order the matching pieces in the same production cycle so shade drift stays small. Hand-dyed and block-printed pieces will vary slightly, which is part of their character.
Elastic and tie construction
Ties, drawcords and elastic are where light garments fail. Specify tie length and width, how ties are anchored (bar-tacked or sewn into a seam), and where elastic is encased. Smocked or shirred sections need stretch recovery that survives repeated washing. For beach use, soft elastic that does not rust or lose tension is more useful than a firm one.
Sizing for relaxed silhouettes
Loose shapes still need a size plan. Many labels use a simplified range such as S/M and L/XL, or one-size, but this only works if the measurements are fixed: body length, sleeve drop, hem sweep and neck opening. Send target measurements, not just size labels, and approve the fit on a sample before bulk.
Planning a small capsule within the per-style minimum
Our minimum is from 100–300 stykker per modell, per farge. A small label can still show range by sharing fabric and print across several styles, for example one print used for a kaftan, a co-ord set and a pareo. This keeps fabric purchasing sensible and the collection coherent. Pick a few strong prints, make each across two or three shapes, and keep trims consistent. Our guide on how to start your own resortwear brand covers this planning in more detail.
Slik fungerer en bestilling
- Brief eller teknisk spesifikasjon: du sender et design, a reference garment, or a brief, and we confirm styles, fabrics and trims.
- Utvikling av stoff og trykk: we source or develop fabric, then produce strike-offs or lab dips for print and colour approval.
- Godkjenning av prøve og passform: we make a sample, you review measurements and construction, and we revise until it is approved.
- Masseproduksjon: tilskjæring, trykking, stitching and finishing begin against the approved sample.
- Kontroll under produksjon og sluttkontroll: we check pieces during production and again before packing, against your approved standard.
- Pakking og eksportdokumentasjon: goods are packed to your labelling and carton instructions, and we prepare the shipping paperwork.

Vanlige spørsmål
Can you make resortwear to my own design?
Ja. We work from your design as private label, fra våre egne design, or through ODM development where we build the product from your brief.
Can I use one print across different styles?
Ja, and it is a practical way to build a capsule within the per-style minimum. Each style and fabric needs its own print approval, so the colours match.
Do you make beach bags to match the clothing?
Ja. We can make bags in coordinating fabric, print or trim so they sit with the apparel in the same collection.
Will hand-dyed or block-printed pieces look identical?
No. Tie-dye, dip-dye and block printing give slight variation from piece to piece. We agree an approved sample and an acceptable range with you before bulk.
Jobber dere med nye merker?
Ja. Vi jobber med nye merker så vel som etablerte merker, and we can advise on fabric, fit and capsule planning before you commit to bulk.
To discuss your collection, send us your brief through the forespørselsskjemaet eller send oss en melding på WhatsApp.
