Hva vi produserer
Custom bandana requests usually fall into four groups. Each group suits a different fabric and print method.
- Classic printed squares: paisley-style and geometric repeats in cotton, the format most people picture when they say “bandana”.
- Custom-artwork bandanas: your logo, illustration or pattern, set up as a square for your label. This is the usual starting point for private label.
- Solid and tie-dye bandanas: plain dyed squares in a colour range, and tie-dye pieces where every square differs slightly.
- Silk and cotton bandanas: a softer, lighter option in silk or silk-feel blends, and the everyday cotton version.
Our fabrics are cotton cambric and voile, polyester, and silk and silk-feel blends. Cambric is smooth and slightly crisp, so it holds a print edge well. Voile is lighter and more open, and drapes better at the neck. Polyester takes bright, saturated colour and resists creasing. Silk and silk-feel blends give a smoother hand and a little sheen. Sertifisert stoff kan skaffes fra møller som har egne sertifiseringer, på forespørsel.
You can see our everyday range on the bandanaskjerf i bomull page and the silk bandana siden. If your collection also includes larger squares, stoles or oblong pieces, see our wider scarf manufacturing siden.

Getting a custom bandana right
Set up the artwork as a square repeat
A bandana is a single square that is folded, tied and worn from any angle, so the layout matters more than on a flat panel. Plan three zones: a border, corner motifs and a centre. Corner motifs should read acceptably from more than one direction, because the scarf is often folded into a triangle along the diagonal. Keep key detail away from the fold lines and the hem, and send vector artwork with colour references where you can. Tell us whether the pattern is a true all-over repeat or a placed design, since the two are printed differently.
Discharge, screen and digital: what each does
- Discharge print: removes dye from a dyed cotton ground and replaces it with colour or leaves a light mark. It sits in the fabric, so the hand stays soft. It suits dark grounds on cotton, but the result depends on the dye, so approve it on a strike-off before bulk.
- Screen print: one screen per colour. It gives solid, repeatable colour and is well suited to logos and bold repeats. On a dark ground, light colours need an opaque base layer, which adds some stiffness to the hand.
- Digitaltrykk: best for photographic detail, gradients and many colours with no screen per colour. On dark grounds, colours look flatter and detail is limited unless the fabric is prepared for it. Light or white grounds give the truest result.
- Tie-dye: made by hand, so no two squares match exactly. Agree a reference piece and an acceptable range of variation rather than an exact match.
Hems, size and finishing
A rolled hem is narrow and light, and looks neat on cotton and silk. An overlocked hem is firmer and more durable, and suits heavier cotton and polyester, though the edge is more visible. Common finished sizes include 55 x 55 cm as a typical industry size, with larger squares for neck-scarf use. Confirm the finished size after hemming, not the cut size.
Wash-down and softness need deciding early. Cotton can shrink and some dyes can bleed, so ask for a pre-wash or softener finish if you want a worn-in hand. Request colour-fastness checks if the bandanas will be washed often.
Pack-out
Say how you want the finished piece presented: folded to a set size, in a polybag, or with a header card or hang tag. Include barcode or sticker positions so retail packing is right when the cartons arrive.

Vanlige spørsmål
What is your minimum order for custom bandanas?
Our minimum is from 100–300 pieces per style, per farge, depending on fabric and print method. Our guide to minimum order quantities explained for buyers shows how this works.
Can you print my own design on bandanas?
Ja. Under private label we print your artwork, or we can develop designs for you through ODM, or you can choose from our own designs.
Which print method is best for a dark bandana?
On dark cotton, discharge keeps the softest hand and screen print gives the strongest colour. Digital works better on light grounds, so we test your artwork before recommending one.
Do you make silk bandanas as well as cotton?
Ja. We make silk and silk-feel blend bandanas alongside cotton and polyester, and the right choice depends on the hand-feel and look you want.
Can bandanas be packed ready for retail?
Ja. We can fold, polybag and add header cards, hang tags or stickers to your specification.
